Using Dashboard

Sidebar Dashboard opens /dashboard on app.kazenly.com. This is your agent home inside the Unified Inbox — not the Account Dashboard on kazenly.com.

After sign-in, many roles land here by default.

First-run checklist

After Open Inbox (or the first time you land on Dashboard with WhatsApp not connected yet), admins and managers who can open Settings and Broadcasts may see a checklist card:

  • Eyebrow: Inbox ready
  • Title: Connect a channel. Then send your first message.
  • Lead: WhatsApp first. Instagram can wait. After Connect, create templates and run campaigns in this app.

Create a templateCreate template → Broadcasts → Templates
Start a campaignStart campaign → Broadcasts → Campaigns

Progress shows N of 3 required (WhatsApp, template, and campaign). Completed steps show Done.

I'll do this later dismisses the card for your user on this browser. The checklist is also hidden automatically once WhatsApp is already connected.

Layout

Dashboard uses the same split layout as Inbox:

  • Conversation list on the left (search, filters, scrollable threads)
  • Chat pane on the right (empty until you pick a thread)

See Layout Tour for the full screen map.

What Dashboard Shows

The list loads open conversations only. Expired threads do not appear here — use sidebar Conversations (chapter 5) for those.

Near search you can also narrow by customer type: All Customers, Existing Customers, or Prospects.

Filter chips

Filters sit in two scrollable rows under search so choosing a status never hides the channel row (and the reverse):

  1. Channel — All, WhatsApp, Instagram (see Filter by Channel).
  2. Status — counts appear in parentheses on each chip.
Status chipWhat it lists
AllEvery active (open) conversation
BotHandled by the bot (not assigned to an agent)
AgentAssigned to an agent
UnreadAssigned threads that still need an agent reply
AssignedThreads assigned to you (read or unread)
My UnreadUnread threads assigned to you
OverdueUnread threads whose oldest unread customer message is over 90 minutes old

When you first open Dashboard, the active status chip is Assigned — your personal queue.

Some chips highlight when they need attention (for example Unread or Overdue may use a coloured background when their count is greater than zero).

On smaller screens, swipe each chip row sideways. The page itself does not scroll sideways.

Active filters

Under the chip rows, an Active filters summary shows what is applied:

  • Status is always listed (default Assigned). Clearing other statuses resets to Assigned.
  • Channel appears when you narrowed away from All (for example WhatsApp). Clear returns to all channels.
  • Customer type appears when you chose Existing Customers or Prospects. Clear returns to All Customers.

Use the × on a term to clear that filter.

Summary Line

Above the list you may see a short summary, for example:

  • Total: N conversations on All
  • Assigned: N on Assigned
  • N need attention when Unread count is greater than zero
  • All caught up! when there is nothing unread

On smaller screens the label may shorten (for example Overdue: N).

Search and Refresh

Use Search conversations… to filter the current chip by contact name or message text.

A refresh control reloads the list if you suspect stale rows.

Dashboard vs Inbox

Both areas show open chats in a list + chat pane. The difference is navigation:

DashboardInbox
Route/dashboard/inbox/assigned, /inbox/queued, etc.
FiltersChannel + status chip rows + active-filter summarySeparate sidebar tabs per queue
Best forPersonal workload — Assigned, My Unread, OverdueTeam queues — Queued, Lists, Spam, tab-by-tab discipline

You can open the same conversation from either place. Pick Dashboard for a single-screen view of your work; pick Inbox when you want a dedicated tab (for example Queued with Take It).

See Inbox vs Dashboard vs Conversations for the full naming map.
