Find Contacts

The Contacts page lists WhatsApp customers your business has interacted with or added for broadcasts. Instagram contacts are kept separate and do not appear here.

Open Contacts​

  1. In the sidebar, open Contacts.

The page title is Contacts with the subtitle Manage customer contacts and consent preferences.

From Settings → Event Destinations, an inbound event row’s Contact #N link opens that contact’s profile here.

Summary cards​

At the top (on larger screens) you may see:

  • Total Contacts
  • With Consent
  • No Consent

These counts reflect your full contact database, not only the current search results.

Use Search contacts by name or phone… to find a person quickly. Results update as you type.

The footer shows how many matches were found, for example 12 contacts found.

Open the consent dropdown next to the filter icon:

  • All Contacts — everyone
  • With Consent — only customers marked as consented for WhatsApp
  • No Consent — customers without consent

When search or consent filters are active, Active filters chips appear below the search bar. Click Clear to reset search and filters.

Browse the list​

Contacts appear as cards showing:

  • Name (or Unknown Contact if no name is stored)
  • Masked WhatsApp username when one is stored (last three characters visible)
  • Masked phone number, when a number is stored (some contacts have a username only)
  • Last interaction (for example Today, Yesterday, or a date)
  • Consented or No Consent badge
  • Joined date

Click the eye icon (View Details) on a card to open the full Contact Profile.

Copy username or phone (admins)​

Account admins may see a copy icon beside the username and/or phone number. Click it to copy the full value. The tooltip shows Copied! after a successful copy.

Pagination​

When there are many contacts, use Previous and Next at the bottom, or jump to a page number. The footer reads Showing 1 to 20 of 150 contacts (numbers vary).

Empty results​

If nothing matches, you see No contacts found:

  • With filters active: Try adjusting your search or filter criteria.
  • With no filters: No contacts have been added yet.

Contacts are often created from WhatsApp conversations or when you add people to broadcast contact lists.
