Connect WhatsApp
WhatsApp is connected from the Unified Inbox on app.kazenly.com — not from the Account Dashboard on kazenly.com.
After your workspace is provisioned and you can sign in to the inbox, connect WhatsApp before agents expect live traffic on that channel.
Open WhatsApp Settings
- Sign in to app.kazenly.com.
- Open sidebar Settings.
- Select the WhatsApp tab (or go to Settings → WhatsApp).
Page heading: WhatsApp
Lead line: Connect your WhatsApp Business account for the unified inbox.
The Connection card explains: Connect a WhatsApp Business account via Meta Embedded Signup.
Connect
- Review the connection status box (initially Not Connected via Embedded Signup).
- Click Connect WhatsApp.
- Complete Meta Embedded Signup in the Facebook/Meta flow (log in and approve access for your WhatsApp Business account).
- Wait while Kazenly finishes provisioning — the button shows Completing Signup… during this step.
On success you may see a green confirmation such as WhatsApp connected with your phone number details, and the status changes to Connected.
The panel then shows:
- Router Tenant name and id (for operators)
- WABA ID (WhatsApp Business Account)
- Access Token in Router: Yes when credentials are stored, or Not Stored Yet when reconnect is needed
- Messaging Limit and Phone Numbers with quality — see Quality Rating and Messaging Limit
- Phone Number ID on each number row
Use the refresh icon next to Connection to reload status, quality, and messaging limit from Meta.
If Connect is blocked by plan, the banner may offer Manage Billing.
What Embedded Signup Does
Embedded Signup links your Meta WhatsApp Business account to your Kazenly workspace. Kazenly stores routing and credentials on the platform side so inbound messages reach your Inbox and outbound sends work from the composer.
You do not paste long-lived tokens manually in this screen.
After Connect
| Next step | Where |
|---|---|
| Reply to customers | Inbox / Dashboard — filter WhatsApp |
| Bot flows | Automations → WhatsApp or Settings → Bot Flows (see chapter 10) |
| Broadcasts | Broadcasts (chapter 11) |
| Instagram (optional second channel) | Settings → Instagram (chapter 7) |
The Connection Stays Here banner on the WhatsApp settings page links to WhatsApp Automations and Broadcast Campaigns — those features live on their own pages, not on the connection card.
Disconnect
When the channel is Connected, click Disconnect (Disconnecting… while in progress). Success: WhatsApp disconnected. Then use Connect WhatsApp to link again via Embedded Signup.
Full steps: Disconnect WhatsApp.
If the status is Connected but Access Token in Router is Not Stored Yet, use Reconnect WhatsApp (or Disconnect, then Connect).
